Mrs. Courtney Berry Purifoy

I chose Hippo Nation because it's a warm and welcoming family-oriented community. We have incredible staff who share ideas and work as teams to make learning fun for students. I also love the pride of being a HIPPO! I am going to serve as the Assistant Principal in the Hippo Nation. I look forward to building relationships with staff, students and parents at Cottonwood Creek Elementary School. I am excited to watch and support students grow as learners.

I have been in education for 23 years and have taught grades K-6. I have been an Instructional Coach for several years and have served as the 2021 summer school principal. I graduated from Jacksonville State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I furthered my education at Texas State University, where I received a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and obtained a principal certificate from Lamar University.

My husband's name is Cory Purifoy, and we have two young adults. Cameron Purifoy, Hutto High School and the University of Texas at San Antonio graduate. Christen Purifoy, Hutto High School graduate and currently a junior at Texas State University.

We enjoy traveling, watching sports, and spending time together in our spare time!
