Principal

It is with great excitement and gratitude that I introduce myself as the 2025-2026 principal of Cottonwood Creek Elementary School. I am truly honored to lead a campus with such a strong legacy of care, collaboration, and commitment to student success. As part of Hippo Nation, I am dedicated to continuing that tradition while supporting our students, staff, and families in new and meaningful ways.

With over 25 years of experience in public education from elementary to high school, I bring a deep belief in the power of relationships, data-informed instruction, and creating learning environments where every child feels known, valued, and challenged.

At CCES, our shared mission is for every member of the Cottonwood Creek Elementary family to lead his/her own learning in a safe, inclusive environment that nurtures the whole child through academic excellence, meaningful relationships, and leadership development. Our vision is for every learner who leaves Cottonwood Creek Elementary School to be a confident leader—strong in academics, grounded in the 8 Habits, and connected through positive relationships.

This year, our campus will focus on:

• Strong Tier 1 instruction and effective small group learning

• Using data to drive decisions and support student growth

• Promoting leadership through the Leader in Me program

• Building relationships and trust among students, staff, and families

• Creating a proactive, consistent culture focused on learning and safety
